The Trailblazer from Star Wars Outlaws - A Lego minifigscale MoC by papaglop

Here it is !

The project I have been keeping semi-secret for almost a year now.

The Trailblazer, Kay Vess's ship from Star Wars Outlaws

I love that ship and I can't wait to play the game in just two weeks.

There is still a LOT of work to do, in fact this photo is not even the latest version.

List of current features :
 - Turret can rotate and can be removed
 - Escape pod can be removed
 - Smaller Reactors can rotate around the bigger ones like in the game
 - Part of the roof can be removed
 - other parts of the roof can be opened
 - detailed exterior
 - detailed minifigscale interior, all the rooms and main furniture are here

The next steps :
 - Finish the design of the bigger reactors
 - Finish the Canopy of the cockpit (the biggest challenge of the whole ship)
 - Exposing it at "Brick Summit" in Montreal on September 14th 2024
 - Design the instructions and make them available.

F-A-Q :

Is this minifigscale ?
YES

How many pieces ?
No idea yet, I'll have to design it in stud.io to know

Weight and dimensions ?
Not final yet

Is there an interior ?
Yes, all rooms with the maximum of details

Do the Reactors rotate like in the game ?
YES

Are instructions available ?
Not yet, but they should be in October.

What did you base yourself on, since the game isn't out yet ?
Youtube videos and trailers

Once available will the instructions be on Rebrickable ?
Probably at some point but I may start with an early presale for real fans.

Outer Rim Speeder Bike

I did not attend SWC in 2019 but I followed it on youtube and I saw this video of one of the speeders seen in the TV show.
So, of course I made a MoC of it. :)

It was a physical build only and I only recently decided to do the digital version and the instructions for it.

They are now available for free on Rebrickable.

Happy building !

Razorcrest UCS MoC by Papaglop.

Last summer, I worked a lot on my first version of this ship, based only on the few images from the Mandalorian panel at Star Wars Celebration on April 14th.
Then the first season of the show has aired, it was FANTATASTIC and the Razorcrest had a very good screen time, giving me, chapter after chapter, many details to recreate, both exterior and interior.

At first I wanted to improve my existing version, but I quickly realized it was to small to support all the details I wanted to add to it. So I decided to start a new one from scratch.

My objectives were :
 - Make it bigger but still in the minifigscale range,
 - Make it as detailed as possible (interior and exterior),
 - Make it as studless as possible,
 - Make it modular (to allow better accessibility for modifications and for photos)

So I did all that ! Weeks after weeks during the Autumn and the Holiday season.

At that point, I was not sure if I would embark on the adventure of making digital plans and instructions for this.
Then I was contacted by James Robinson, who offered to help designing these instructions.
It's been a very long process, even for two people ! Plus it was the first time I was doing Instructions and I wanted them to be as good as official lego ones.
Countless hours and 500+ pages later, the instructions for this 5.2 kg beast are available.
And you can buy them ! Just send me a quick email at papaglop.moc@gmail.com for more details.

The Razorcrest ship (from the upcoming show The Mandalorian)

The Mandalorian was the thing I was looking forward the most this year at SWC !

I am really confident they will deliver something fantastic !
And I loved the Razorcrest at first sight.

So, of course, I want to MoC it up. Despite all its weird angles and its not yet obvious colours.

Here is what the first draft looked like. A wobbly proof of concept :

And a couple of hours later, I had something way more sturdy and articulated.
I started to add some details too.

Summer update !

After a lot of trial and error, and a couple of Bricklink orders, here is where I am at :

And also a small video :

Now I need more plates and Curved slopes...

Update  !
So the curved slopes arrived and I finished it at last.
I got a friend to help me with the photoshoot, here is the result :

Obi Wan and the Death Star tractor beam Lego MoC

When you like Lego and Star Wars, you want Storm Troopers... Lots of them...
And this year, as you may know, this set came out and it is one of the best "Army builder" there is.
With each you get 4 Troopers and also some nice grey pieces.
So I decided to use these to do blast doors. With a mecanism that can open and close them like in the movies.
After a couple of tries I managed to get the gear system right and now they work fine.
And then I let myself go to build around...

So here it is:
(no filter no photoshop)
Based on this original shot from the movie:

Jedi Interceptor eta-2, MOC

So a couple of weeks ago I decided to disassemble my Cool-Cruiser and I ended up with a lot of cool shapes in Yellow.

My older daughter wanted a "Gros tracteur jaune" so I made her this one:

Then, after a while, I wanted something more "Starwarsy", as usual... But Yellow ??... Then it hit me :

Jedi Interceptor eta-2

Of course, there already is an official set for this one... But I wanted to do a MOC based only on pieces that I already own.

Also, I wanted to make it look more muscular and bulky.
The original one seems so slim and fragile. (I know it is supposed to be, because, you know : Jedi = No need for heavy shield and armor.)
But still... I wanted something more "realistic"?...
So after a rainy Sunday, I ended up with this :

oh...
and for my friend Sylvain, yes, a R2 unit can fit in the wing, let me climb here to show you:
